Spent lots of time today in some preparatory work and also collecting some needed pieces. Everything takes so much time. Going to install a brighter LED light in my future work area meant I had to swap out the receptacle. Getting the wiring ready for the some connections meant drilling the holes larger in cable connections, searching for and collecting together bolts, nuts, various washers, etc. Also got some more rings crimped and heat shrink wrapped onto a cable. I also made some "extra hands." They are pieces of wood with slots and embedded magnets to help me hold things in the van when I'm working on my own. I bought the magnets predrilled and set in steel cups so they are loosely screwed into pockets in the wood. Thank goodness for being retired because that means I do have time...

AuthorCalvin here - after spending almost 33 years in education as a high school teacher, elementary teacher, and elementary administrator, it was time to retire! I did so happily and with no regrets; it was a terrific and fulfilling career. I do enjoy building projects as the design and building process is very therapeutic and you see a completed functional product in the end. Now to combine the build with another of Angela's and my passions - travel - is something we're really looking forward to. Archives
